As the main social area of the residence, the living room adds a bit of spice to the palette in the form of complementary colours and textures that give it personality without being overbearing. Two sandy brown leather sofas offer comfortable seating options, their dark wood legs a perfect match for the coffee table situated in front of them. Occupying the corner space is a dark grey and burnished red massage chair which adds a dash of exciting colour to the mix. Not to be outshone, the wall-mounted black and white television cabinet underlines its most unique features which are the floating shelves above the television. Sporting decorative grills and shelf lighting, they have been decorated with a collection of small artwork and knick-knacks. Capping everything off is the set of olive green curtains covering the full-length windows.
In the dining and kitchen area, a more monochrome palette was applied to give the space a clean and crisp look that sets it apart from the living room nearby. Here, the floor-to-ceiling cupboards and cabinets alternate between white and black, calling to mind a chess board. This is offset by an L-shaped shelf space and the wall one the opposite side as both bear rich brown wood panelling that help maintain nature’s presence in the area. However, the centrepiece of this space is undoubtedly the wooden-top dining table which is connected to the kitchen island which commits entirely to the black colour scheme by also having a black laminated granite top.
Ascending the wood-covered stairs to the next floor will reveal that the influence of the given theme holds fast albeit with a slightly greater focus on wood elements. The dark wood flooring used here gives these private areas the sophisticated kind of warmth that is befitting their purposes. In the master bedroom, they also match perfectly with the wooden panels and bedside table covering half of the wall behind the bed as well as the cabinet on the opposite side.
