French artist Fabienne Auzolle uses her mastery of ceramic techniques to design stunningly intricate murals. Through her mural artworks, Fabienne Auzolle invites the viewer to move closer to feel their tactile surface, constructed from a multitude of ceramic pendants that are modelled, baked, and then painstakingly hand-sewn onto a linen canvas in her studio in Choisy le Roi, France.
Employing her finely honed sense of artistry, Fabienne matches rows and rows of these medallions to form seas of colour that range from mysterious, to soothing, to vibrant. Her ceramic sculptures, nicknamed ‘trees of life’, are equally as impressive and imaginative. Inspired by otherworldly deities, such as Black Madonnas or Mexican goddesses of protection, they combine tradition with the contemporary style of today.
