When you’ve been with your life partner long enough and also spend waking hours working alongside each other, it can definitely change the way you see your surroundings and the world at large. The couple duo Vinson Tan and Aveline Chaw, co-founded Spazehaus, a design firm based in Johor Bahru. Their combined interest in design allows them to create spaces that are avant-garde yet functional.

The both of them prefer designing commercial spaces over residential projects because that unleashes more of their creativity. Working on the HAVN Cafe in Kulai has given them a sense of satisfaction where a team of open-minded clients had given them free reign to propose and design the interior. Vinson and Aveline are both staunch believers of sustainable living, so having their dream home to be energy efficient would be something to look forward to.
