Thái Công Mansion: The Wes Anderson Façade Meets Louis XV Drama

Thái Công Mansion, designed by award-winning interior designer Quách Thái Công, features Wes Anderson-inspired exterior with hand-gilded, Louis XV French classical interiors.

Nestled within the leafy enclave of Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Thái Công Mansion moves far beyond conventional luxury – it is a living, breathing work of architectural art. The residence marks a defining creative milestone for interior designer Quách Thái Công and entrepreneur Huy Yves, culminating over a decade of shared vision and aesthetic evolution.

Architectural Prelude: The Convergence of Two Aesthetic Realms

What sets Thái Công Mansion apart within the global design landscape is its striking visual juxtaposition: a seamless, almost cinematic shift from a dreamlike façade to an interior steeped in grand Louis XV drama. Its asymmetrical contours and soft pastel palette serve as a poetic prelude, inviting guests across the threshold into a far deeper, more lavish sensory experience.

The Wes Anderson-Inspired Façade: Surreal Poetry in the Metropolis

From the outside, the mansion is cloaked in a delicate pastel pink hue, rhythmically punctuated by elegant arched fenestration. This visual language instantly evokes director Wes Anderson’s signature surreal, whimsical aesthetic – most notably seen in “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. The soothing palette and harmonious proportions craft a secluded, nostalgic sanctuary set apart from the urban bustle.

The approach to the mansion opens into a poetic sanctuary, featuring diamond-paved pathways interwoven with lush grass. At its heart lies a linear water feature adorned with reflective metallic
spheres. Flanked by symmetrical cypress trees and vibrant greenery, this grand entrance gently guides guests through a serene, deeply private sensory passage.

Louis XV Interiors: The Theatrical Stage of Artful Living

The true crescendo unfolds the moment the grand doors close. The subtle cadence of the exterior yields to a breathtaking interior stage crafted in the spirit of Louis XV drama. Every surface pays homage to Louis XV opulence, evidenced by ornate gilded ceiling moldings featuring intricate rocaille motifs and delicate floral garlands. These lavish hand-gilded embellishments catch the light, transforming the upper architectural plane into a masterclass in French classical grandeur.

Every curated item reflects years of passionate acquisition – from a bespoke Italian kitchen handcrafted over 14 months, to rare Meissen porcelain, the timeless pinnacle of German heritage craftsmanship. Enveloped in warm wood paneling and deep burgundy velvet, this intimate lounge functions as a discreet sanctuary for private contemplation and refined entertaining. Accentuated by a bespoke home bar, plush fringe armchair seating, and curated art books, the space exudes an understated, highly personal brand of opulence.

The Art of Non-Conformity: Uncompromising Personal Taste

Honored as Asia’s Most Influential Designer at the 2026 DOTY Awards, Quách Thái Công continues to inspire design enthusiasts and elevate contemporary living.

“The transition from the exterior to the interior is an intentional spatial narrative. I want anyone entering to be transported into another dimension – one that is deeper, more evocative, and meticulously refined”, shared by designer Quách Thái Công.

Impervious to fleeting trends, the mansion serves as the tangible proof of this design philosophy—solidifying its place as an enduring monument to singular, uncompromising taste.
