What does being recognised by DOTY for three consecutive years mean to you, both personally and professionally?

Being recognised by DOTY for three consecutive years means a lot to me. Personally, it reminds me how far I’ve come and gives me the confidence to keep pushing beyond my comfort zone.

Professionally, it shows that our work and design direction are being consistently recognised by the industry. It’s not just about winning awards. It reflects the passion, hard work and trust shared by my team, clients and partners. Most importantly, it motivates us to keep improving and creating designs that are both meaningful and impactful.

How has your understanding of what makes a meaningful interior evolved over the course of your career?

Over the years, I’ve realised that a meaningful interior is not only about how beautiful it looks, but how it makes people feel and experience the space.

Earlier in my career, I focused more on aesthetics and design concepts. Today, I pay greater attention to the people using the space, their lifestyle, needs, emotions and daily routines. To me, good design should have a purpose, tell a story and remain relevant for years to come.

What do you believe makes an interior leave a lasting impression?

I believe an interior leaves a lasting impression when it creates an emotional connection. It’s not always about having the most luxurious materials or making a bold statement. It’s about how the space makes people feel.

When the design reflects the users’ identity, responds to their needs and brings together function, comfort and thoughtful details, it becomes memorable. A meaningful space should continue to feel relevant and special, even after many years.

Looking ahead, what ideas or directions are you interested in exploring through your practice?

Looking ahead, I want to explore spaces that people don’t just see, but truly feel. I’m interested in creating stronger connections between design, nature and the five senses. Spaces that tell a story, create memorable experiences and remain meaningful over time.
