Curated Comfort: A Living Space by Artwright Group

Renowned office interiors company Artwright Group has ventured beyond the corporate world with the grand opening of its first high-design showroom, A Living Space. This exciting launch marks the company’s expansion into the premium residential and hospitality sectors, catering to design enthusiasts seeking exceptional furniture and interior elements.

Inspired by a personal quest for artisanal homeware, Artwright CEO Yong Yoke Keong identified a gap in the Malaysian market for such products. This local need sparked an international search, culminating in a curated collection featuring world-renowned brands like Cappellini, LIU.JO Living, and LASVIT. These exclusive partnerships elevate A Living Space, offering a unique selection that complements Artwright’s existing workplace solutions.

Chua Yee Ping, Artwright’s Marketing Director, emphasized the showroom’s dynamic nature: that “this new showroom will be an evolving space dedicated to high-design furniture from some of the world’s most renowned and thoughtful brands that have exclusive partnerships with Artwright. Together, A Living Space and our esteemed partners aspire to curate an unparalleled selection of high-end furniture interior elements, catering to the discerning tastes of our clientele. Whether you’re seeking sophistication, innovation, or sheer elegance, we invite you to immerse yourself in the artistry of A Living Space,”.

“We’re really happy at the amazing turnout of guests who have shown their love of design tonight. Thank you for making this launch party such a successful and memorable event!” she added.

The launch party drew a remarkable crowd of design enthusiasts and industry professionals. Yong, in his opening speech, highlighted the distinct design philosophies of each brand:

• Cappellini:  “Giulio Cappellini founded Cappellini with designs that bring forth sophistication and contemporary flair, blending Italian craftsmanship with timeless style. For example, take a look at the Proust Geometrica armchair by Alessandro Mendini. It is an art form hand crafted and hand painted by the finest Italian craftsman and artist. No two pieces are the same, and yet every piece is marvellous.

• LASVIT: LASVIT is a brilliant company founded by an equally brilliant man, Leon Jakimič. LASVIT means light that illuminates spaces with brilliant beauty. Every design tells a story and every detail sparkles with exquisite craftsmanship. Lasvit lighting and interior elements add a touch of magic to every corner of your space, be it your home, or your organization.

“I hope A Living Space becomes the preferred furniture shop for appreciators of high design and art in Malaysia,” Yong commented.

The event was graced by prominent figures in the design community, including Ooi Boon Seong, current president, and Mr Lai Siew Hong, immediate past president, of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID).

Among the showroom’s standout pieces are:

• Lasvit’s Cipher collection: Designed by the world-famous Yabu Pushelberg firm, these lighting pieces feature a mesmerizing interplay of precise cuts and engravings, transforming modern interiors into vibrant spaces.

• LIU.JO Living’s Caillou sofa: This elegant creation exudes sophistication with its clean lines, modular design, and refined details.

“You must come to A Living Space to get to know these furniture and lighting pieces in person. Only then can you really appreciate the craftsmanship and story that has gone into every one of these pieces and potentially form an emotional connection with them,” concluded Chua.
