BlueScope Steel Architectural Awards 2024: The victorious winners of Malaysia’s ‘Beautiful Strength’

The winners of the 2024 BSAA MY have finally been revealed! Covering five categories with a theme of 'Beautiful Strength', the Awards saw a successful participation from projects all over Malaysia

Chosen by the distinguished jurors of 2024’s BlueScope Steel Architectural Awards, Malaysia (BSAA MY), these 19 projects feature first-class use of steel — highlighting the material’s endless potential in applied architecture.

Malaysian projects crowned with Gold will advance to the regional stage of the Awards series, BlueScope Steel Architectural Awards, ASEAN, where they will compete against fellow Gold recipients from Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia for the coveted Ultimate Platinum distinction.

This year’s submissions ranged from large-scale projects to private residences. BSAA MY 2024 saw its evaluation from the acclaimed juror panel made of Ar. Dr. Tan Loke Mun (Director of Archicentre Sdn Bhd), Ar. Dr. Serina Hijjas (Director of Hijjas Kasturi Associates) and Adjunct Professor Ar. Adrianta bin Aziz (Director of AR RAD Architects Plt), alongside Mr Robert Nation Am Lrraia (Director of National Architects and Australia International Chapter Council) and Mr. Alan Koh (Director of Star Hospitality Luxe Sdn Bhd).
