The 28th China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair concluded on 11 July 2026, welcoming 144,370 industry professionals from 146 countries and regions. This included 11,473 overseas attendees, marking a 33.4 per cent increase compared with the previous edition.
The results underscored CBD Guangzhou’s position as a leading international platform for building decoration, construction and interior solutions, strengthening connections between China’s manufacturing sector and global markets.
Reflecting the industry’s ongoing transformation, CBD Guangzhou 2026 expanded its exhibition model around three integrated ecosystems, INTERIOR, EXTERIOR and MATECH. Together, they spanned the full industry supply chain, from interior solutions and building envelope systems to decorative materials, smart technologies and intelligent manufacturing.
The exhibition also strengthened its market focused approach through six professional channels, including dealers, international trade, designers, interior contractors, commercial projects and new media, helping exhibitors connect with relevant industry audiences.

One of this year’s key developments was the expansion of the Bath & Sanitary Area, organised in partnership with the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC). The collaboration attracted more export oriented manufacturers, reinforcing CBD Guangzhou’s position as an international sourcing destination for ceramic surfaces, sanitary ware and residential renovation solutions.
International development remained a key focus of the 2026 edition. Building on the CBD World Connect programme, the exhibition expanded its international communications, overseas buyer recruitment and global media partnerships, reinforcing its role in connecting Chinese manufacturers with international markets.
Alongside more than 70 conferences, forums and special events, these initiatives reinforced CBD Guangzhou’s position as a platform where business, innovation and professional knowledge come together.
Among the highlights were the debut of the World Connect Lounge and the World Connect Forum, hosted by CBD Guangzhou and developed by Edimotion. Designed as an international hub for networking and knowledge exchange, the programme brought together architects, designers, buyers, media representatives, industry experts and exhibitors through a series of discussions exploring global design trends, international markets and export opportunities.

Following the success of the 2026 edition, CBD Guangzhou plans to expand its international strategy through the continued development of the CBD World Connect programme and new initiatives aimed at supporting exhibitors’ global expansion while attracting a broader international audience.
The next edition of CBD Guangzhou will return to the Canton Fair Complex from 8 to 11 July 2027, bringing together the global building decoration community to explore innovation, strengthen partnerships and foster international collaboration.
